Globosocks, LLC, Provides Mini Grant for Uganda Reach the Aged Association
Globosocks, LLC, (www.Globosocks.com) a New Mexico based company announced awarding a modest grant to support a sustainable fruit tree project with Uganda Reach the Aged Association in partnership with the community based Family Caregivers Association for the Aged in Northern, Uganda.
Uganda Reach the Aged Association works and advocates for improved quality of life and preservation of the dignity of older persons in Uganda. In connection with Family Caregivers Association they are creating the sustainable fruit tree project to provide a sustainable business for young people in Uganda to be able to start a mini-business.
"As I traveled through Uganda as a PeacePal Ambassador I met with a variety of local leaders, governmental officials, community members, and youth," said Greg Webb, Globosocks President. "I met a gentleman named John Alfred Ejura who is an inspiration for me as he works tirelessly to make positive changes within his community in Lira, Uganda. John has been such a positive force, and with this small grant he will continue to strengthen his community through his leadership with this exciting project."
This grant is among one of the first that Globosocks has been able to award in their first year of business. This first grant is for financial resources and technical assistance and will go a long way in the impoverished rural communities of Uganda. As Globosocks continues to grow they hope to be able to support more international and local social and non-governmental organizations.
